Founder and Chief Instigator

A Carpinteria native, John has spent the majority of his life pursuing a way to promote sustainability and living/surfing close to home. Two Master's degree's and 10+ years living around the world later, he finally found a way. It just took 8 years of planning, fundraising, and other fun stuff to get the organic brewery open. As Chief Instigator, his main role is to make stuff happen.

A jack-of-many-trades, you'll find Leila usually slingin' beers behind the bar, training new staff, or helping out with whatever needs to be done. She is also our resident techie behind the scenes.
